The greatest con

The mind is a powerful obstacle between us and that. It initially tries to divert us but when we don't relent, it turns into a 'friend'. It says 'OK. Lets go look for it'. This is a trap because the only thing that it can offer us is itself. In fact in a simple way, anything we want is but a substitute for the projected state of bliss when we get the object. Is it possible that the source of bliss is simply the absence of a projected state we are yet to reach? Is it possible that the only reason we are unhappy is that we believe we are not where we are supposed to be. Not only this but the very state we are trying to reach is but an idea in the mind which exists only in us. So are we really looking for something we already have?
